Always love the food here! The photo is Okasan dinner plate. I got the crispy chicken with gyoza. Not pictured is the salad it comes with

If this is what passes for Japanese cuisine around these parts then why bother at all.

Just can't believe such a bento at a price of $15.99! Its owned by a couple. It might take some time to pick up the food but the taste is worth it!

We went in to see if we can take out some food since it had a sign “take out only» to be not greeted and got a really cold shoulders from the owners. I was super happy to see Korean restaurant owners at Port Angeles. I didn’t get any service but I hope they do well in the future and survive this COVID/horrible economy. I sincerely hope that you guys offer better services to next Korean customer who come in your door.

I've only been eating sushi for about 10 years now, and from all over the pacific northwest. Safeway sushi is better in my opinion. I got 4 kinds of Nigiri and the pieces of meat were hacked apart and I found TWO bones in my salmon! Never have I found bones in any sushi I've eaten. The red snapper tasted like dirt, or beets, it was weird. The 2 stars are because the employees were very nice.

Expensive for the quality. Placed a take-out order based on posted menus, when I went to pick up the prices were more expensive. I would have been fine with that, but the sashimi dinner also said it would come with a house salad and miso soup. When I arrived I found out take-outorders didn’t include those (and you can only do take out right now) so I paid around $34 for just sashimi. While the quantity wasn’t bad, the quality was mediocre at best; the ahi tasted like it had been sitting out fortwo days. I pod about 43 for sashimi and seaweed salad. For the same price, you can go to many other restaurants, eat indoors, and enjoy fresh halibut and other seafood dishes.… – ver

Okasen is wonderful! The wait staff are friendly, the food is delicious, the rolls are beautifully crafted and the prices are reasonable. We are out-of-towners, we have eaten here twice; once pre-pandemic dine-in and once take-out. Both experiences were lovely. We feel like this place may be a little overlooked because it is not in the downtown walking area, but it is well worth the less than five minute drive to eat here. Mr. Kim, the owner and sushi chef, recommended a roll to us that was fantastic (of course now I don't remember the name of the roll, drat!) Overall we had five rolls, gyoza, edamame and a veggie/prawn plate. We ate every little bit. We will be back and you should go too!… – ver

There were live bugs crawling around in the produce I'm thinking they didn't even wash it before plating it, no telling what else they don't wash.

Okasan, please listen. I dont know if today was an exception or your business is determined to rip folks off. I ordered a salmon avocado roll and a rainbow roll. The ocean is right there. No reason to have such microscopic portions. The salmon avocado roll's salmon portion was no bigger than my little finger nail. I've never seen such a small roll. The whole roll was the size of a nickel. The rainbow roll was covered in inch square fish sizes, 1/8th inch thick. The rice in both rolls were disgustingly starchy. This circus of a dish was 18.47$. It's absolutely astounding to make such tiny rolls. I have half a mind to open up a sushi bar next door just to give folks an idea how much you're ripping them off. Pick it up, Okasan. Have some honor in the food you provide.… – ver

Got some take out. This is what they call teriyaki. It's by far the worst teriyaki I've ever had. Never again.
